More Than a Coder - Lazar Zamurovic

Today the Macedon team dropped off 109 backpacks at the Dogwood Elementary School in Reston VA. Thanks to Consultant Lazar Zamurovic, we were able to collaborate with The Kids In Need Foundation to raise funds for children’s school supplies. The Kids In Need Foundation “works to ensure that  every child is prepared to learn and succeed in the classroom by providing free school supplies nationally to students most in need.”

In early Spring, Lazar set up a funding page with the goal to raise $2,800 by May 31st to provide 100 children with backpacks filled with all sorts of supplies. Several colleagues pledged to match donations, and the final result surpassed the goal by $227, adding nine extra backpacks!

“It’s wonderful to see the entire company come together in helping out the community,” said Lazar, “With the help and support of my colleagues, we made a difference in 109 kids’ lives by giving them the tools to jump-start the school year and help them succeed in their education.”
